Configurring a server

I have a PC I can put TOR on and run it as a server. It's an XP Pro box and 
I can donate 1.5MB of bandwidth each way. When it come to manuals, I don't 
understand; it just never makes sense. Can someone help me with the correct 
torcc etc. so I can help TOR grow?
