Someone earlier posted a link to a page with some torrc options, meant to speed up Tor: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-tools/3349-speeding-up-tor.html I just wanted to say, that I've used a similar set of options for quite some time. It's nothing new; in fact, it's listed in the Tor wiki. I personally believe that they do help to speed up browsing through Tor; however, this is purely subjective. I've done no benchmarking. Tor itself seems to have sped up for browsing quite a bit, in my experience, over the past year or so on its own; I suspect this has to do with more relays coming online. =:oD - -- F.
