I am running (or trying to) tor-0.2.0.34. My libevent was libevent2-1.4.8-2mdv (with 2009.1 mandriva install) but after this, I went back and tried libevent2-1.4.7-1mdv from mandriva 2009.0. Same ultimate result with same error message. I am about to try the mandriva cooker libevent2-1.4.10-1mdv rpm.
