Are keywords and values in "torrc" (and other) config files case-sensitive?

When I enter some new instructions into e.g. the "torrc" config file:
Are these keywords and their values case-sensitive or not? 

In other words is there a difference between

exitnodes {us}

and

ExitNodes {US}
