Wireless Network Deployment Engineer - 5 years of expertise designing,
deploying, configuring, commissioning & administering Wireless LAN products
& technologies.
*Complete Description: *
Project requires design and implement complex IP-based wireless systems that
satisfy specific end-customer requirements with guidance from Lead Engineer
and Team Leader. WLAN and 802.11 a/b/g/i/n expertise; 5 years of expertise
designing, deploying, configuring, commissioning & administering Wireless
LAN products & technologies, including: Wireless Access Points (WLAPP a +),
Wireless Client Associations and Wireless Controllers. Possess an
understanding of RF signal transmissions & antenna behavior; WLAN Security
in the areas of authentication, encryption, Radius, AAA authentication, EAP,
PSK, etc.; Must be able to conduct and document a wireless site survey,
including the ability to generate a final design, an equipment BOM, and
implementation documentation.
Development of new wireless system project proposals will be required which
would include the development of proposal text, drawings and material
content that effectively describes the system and special equipment being
offered.
*Responsibilities & Qualifications:*
* BSEE or similar technical degree and technical experience in Wireless/RF
communications systems, IP networking, telecommunications or related field
is required.
* Experience in maintaining Cisco Data Communications equipment with
emphasis on Cisco 1200, 1300, 1400 and 1500 series Wireless Access Points
* Access Points (AP's) in both bridging and Access mode infrastructures.
Candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of the following:
* Cisco Wireless Communications equipment configuration 802.11 a/b/g/i/n
* Configuration and Maintenance of WLAN bridges, Point-to-Point and
Point-to-Multipoint links
* Creation and implementation of Wireless Meshed, Multi-path, Multi-VLAN
networks.
* Configuration and implementation of Wireless LAN Solution Engine (WLSE),
Wireless Control Server (WCS) and Manager (WLSM).
* Manage and Mitigate Risk associated with Rogue AP's, unauthorized Hotspot
access.
* 802.1X management and ACL based configuration * Experience using the full
suite of AirMagnet analysis software and a solid understanding of spectrum
and protocol analyzer tools.
