1. *ETL Design for Transactional systems (ERP/OLTP) to DW (BW, Data
Integrity) and Staging Area to OLAP
2. Documentation of interface design, technical specifications, test
results and knowledge transfer
3. Data Modeling of relational data structures (RDBMS schemas and tables)
4. Data Warehouse (metadata-dimensions; data-facts) - slowly changing
dimensions
5. Hyperion or OLAP cube target loading
6. Sourcing and extracting data from SAP
7. Oracle and Unix environment
8. Development expertise
- *Experience with versions of DataStage and existing version at SJM
- Types and complexity of transformations (lookups, aggregations,
normalization, join datasets)
- Data validation

1. Coding standards: Naming conventions, comments and best practices used
2. Debugging issues and Unit testing (checklist, code review)
3. Experience with system and integration testing (regression,
automation)
4. Experience with incremental (delta) and full loads
5. Experience with performance tuning (large data volumes, throughput,
run times, parallel processing, caching, buffer sizing)
6. Experience with audit (automated reconciliation of counts and
balances), error handling and exception management (data rejects)
7. Experience with deployments and code migration (parameter files for
various environments; migration requests)
8. Experience with batch scheduling via DataStage scheduler (Director)
and support (troubleshooting job failures/errors and resolution)
