Hyperion Application Support Analyst Location: Natick Ma. Duration: 4 plus months
Summary Overall objective of the position is to support the vision and direction of the respective business user community by providing IS application support in the implementation, integration and operations of a newly formed Competency Center over seeing key financial applications. The IS Consultant will act in an IS Application Support role to assess issues related to the development of a new applications and in ensuring the stability and maintainability of the existing applications. The IS consultant will analyze and offer suggestions to address issues and new enhancements as they occur. The IS Consultant will be expected to work with the Business community and provide timely updates on maintenance, and issue resolution as they arise. Business Domain / Processes Supported: IS Application Support for each of the following applications; Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM), Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM), and Hyperion Planning, Excel Reporting w/ Essbase plug-in. Technologies Supported: SQL Server 2005, Unix, Windows 2003 OS, .Net Technology (VB.NET, C#), VB Scripting, and Java, Web services Responsibilities Support the process of identifying, diagnosing and solving existing process and system issues. Serve as technical resource responsible for day-to-day application support including routine maintenance, batch monitoring, system patches, bug fixes, system enhancements, and investigating interface issues. Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and establishing effective and efficient system solutions Define, monitor and report upon agreed upon Service Level Agreements. Create and maintain consistent and thorough technical documentation of all processes and procedures for supported applications. This documentation includes incident reporting, architecture, requirement, configuration, design and patch logs. Work with the Finance functional area to assist in the systems enhancement process. Participate in future roll-outs of business applications to new sites/areas. Build collaborative relationships with other supporting IT services (data center, networking, security). Promote regular cross-training on key production support aspects of their application; including job scheduling and monitoring, performance management, upgrades and patches, etc. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Experience supporting technical aspects of Hyperion modules including HFM, FDM, DRM, and Planning. Very good working knowledge of Windows 2003 OS Very good working knowledge of Unix Experience with reporting using MS Excel and Essbase plug in Experience with Essbase, SQL Server 2005Experience with .Net Technology (VB.NET, C#), VB Scripting and Java development Experience with web services Solid understanding of network principles Proven Systems Analysis and Design skills Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies Excellent Communication Skills to various levels in the organization Strong problem solving capabilities Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the needs Strong initiative and a self starter Thanks and Regards, Ram K Vutukuri Pyramid Consulting, Inc.
