We are in search of creative and value-driven individuals who can work with our functional teams to design solutions, oversee Junior Developers, author code, support off-site development, and be a core team member of this product release and its ongoing support. This is a hands-on development leadership position focused on client delivery. *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:* • Aligning in-house and off-shore development teams to meet company objectives • Guiding the technical direction for the development staff • Working with development team to prepare technical designs, workflows and requirements • Managing and teaming with Business Analysts to confirm compliance with company development standards • Ensuring proper test plans are prepared, executed and results analyzed for appropriate next steps • Driving test-driven development (TDD) and implementing automated build processes • Participating in the creation of training and implementation plans for new product launches • Maintaining project schedules, work plans, and timelines • Working with executive management, project managers, system architects, and development partners to prepare and communicate product release plans • Communicating schedule and product delivery information to company executives and client stakeholders • Interacting with project team to define and drive project schedule and milestones • Managing, prioritizing, and scheduling development of new products and product enhancements • This role’s responsibilities include technical design and hands-on code Development • Will be required to design and develop software • Functioning as an application subject-matter expert for internal business users and external clients • Mentoring employees and monitoring employee performance *GENERAL REQUIREMENTS*: The following are required: • Minimum 8 years experience in software development • Minimum 5 years experience developing software on the Microsoft Platform, including .NET (ASP.NET, C#, ADO.Net, Web Services, Remoting, Report writers, 3rd party controls, etc.) and SQL server • Working knowledge of Windows Workflow, and WCF • Exposure to open source frameworks • Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership or management role • Direct experience in scheduling and managing software development • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven technical writing abilities • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with employees, other departments, and upper management • Excellent skills preparing and delivering presentations, with proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external management • Excellent critical-thinking skills, with extreme attention to detail • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Team-oriented thinking with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team • Proven ability to collaborate with and drive cross-functional and interdepartmental teams. • Strong, visible leadership, with ability to inspire employees to produce outstanding results • Strong project management skills • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously • Expertise with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) • Overtime may be required to meet departmental deadlines The following are preferred, but are not required: • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies and processes including Agile methodologies • Experience in presenting product features, benefits, and differentiators to audiences of all levels OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to work in the office on a regular basis (core office hours are 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday in the NYC office) • Ability to travel to client and vendor sites as needed • Upon job offer, applicant must be able to pass background check and drug test -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
