We have the following requirement for our Direct client.
Position: Mid Level VB/Oracle Developer with prior Accounting background
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Billing Rate: $35 per hour Corp to Corp (Give me your best rates)
Duration: 2 Months
1. Extensive Experience with Visual Basic
2. Unemployment Insurance Practice knowledge
3. PL/SQL Development
4. Knowledge of SQL Navigator
5. Accounting Background preferred
Incumbent works in a data processing installation at the senior level
carrying out a wide variety of the most advanced technical computer
systems duties involving the adaptation of accounting, administrative,
statistical and scientific data to electronic computer systems.
Incumbent's assigned area of responsibility is a significant portion of
the data processing support effort either by volume, complexity, cost,
or a combination thereof. Incumbent reports to a supervising analyst or
systems manager. Representative duties include:
· Confers with management of own department to assist in
planning, organizing and controlling activities of assigned area;
· Confers with management of the user agency or division to
define information processing requirements, establish priorities, and
monitor progress;
· Researches, and analyzes problems and needs of user agencies
and divisions, prepares logical statement of problem and develops a
system for the solution of the problem;
· Works with personnel or user agencies for maximum computer
utilization (both hardware and software);
· Prepares project feasibility studies;
· Computes complete cost and time estimates; as well as human
resource and equipment requirements for implementation of new system or
modifications to existing systems;
· Establishes written procedures and guidelines for system
operation;
· Directs, trains, and coordinates the work of subordinate
systems analysts and/or programmers;
· Monitors completed systems and visits user departments to
ensure that established procedures are properly followed;
· Sets up and reviews special production runs, consults with
other staff members on technical considerations;
· Helps programmers develop difficult and complex programs;
· Evaluates complex program tests, data flow diagrams and entity
relationship diagrams;
· Reviews legislation pertaining to user agencies to determine
any necessary system changes;
· Researches new techniques and technical developments;
· Writes and revises system and program design procedures, test
procedures and quality standards;
· Develops Data Models describing database records, data
elements and how they are used;
· Assists staff and users to solve computer related problems,
such as malfunctions and program problems;
