*Test Engineer level III (Linux & SAN storage) for 6+ Months project at Fort Collins, CO* The ability to work independently with minimal direction would be a highly desired skill set moving forward. Any candidate should also possess above average to excellent triage skills considering the complexity of the current products being worked on. *SAN management*: switches (fibre channel(FC) and FCoE; zoning and maintenance) storage (SAS, FC, and FCoE; includes EVA arrays, MSA and P2000) Should have at minimum a basic understanding of how networking works *OS knowledge*: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.x and 6.x (7.x soon) Suse Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP4 and 11.x Oracle Enterprise Linux Windows (array management mostly) Able to locate and triage system logs and events Know where/how to configure network settings Be able to install new applications and/or programs (files are not always executables) *Hardware*: Must be able to differentiate between different card types i.e. SAS, FC and NIC (network) Should know which cables types work with the associated card types Knowledgeable on working with hardware enough so to avoid bent pins or hot swapping hardware that’s not meant to be hot swapped *Software*: Application Lifecycle Management – test plans & test cases QuIX (quality information eXchange) – defect management Microsoft Word, Xcel and Visio – editing online documents and status reports *Tools*: (preferred skills not required) Helpful to be able to read a script and at least have an idea of what the script is trying to accomplish Hazard experience would be preferred Netperf (common Linux networking test tool) Best Regards, Object Technology Solutions, Inc.
