Immediate Need Unix Admin in Bethesda, MD Position : Unix Admin Location : Bethesda, MD Duration : 3-6+Months *Rate : $50/Hr*
*Need EAD, USC or GC * Required: · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. · Experience demonstrating skill using various OS/Shell commands, editors and file systems permissions in UNIX. · Experience demonstrating skill creating advanced UNIX/Perl scripts. And experience scheduling/executing these scripts via background scheduler or CRON. · Experience demonstrating skill maintaining application control scripts: alert monitoring, interface control, web-application server, etc. · Knowledge of: web servers (e.g., IIS, Apache, etc.), web server configuration concepts, and Web programming languages (e.g., XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java Servlet Pages (JSP).application-web servers (e.g., Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.) for hosting Servlets for running server generated database-web solutions. relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, Access DB). · Experience demonstrating skill creating and supporting applications across multi-platform environments. · Experience demonstrating skill with data modeling and database tuning concepts (e.g., Hard-Joins, Foreign Keys relationships Referential Integrity validation). · Experience demonstrating skill with Oracle’s PLSQL (stored procedures and functions). · Extensive experience demonstrating skill performing analysis, design, programming and testing. · Experience demonstrating skill using the Object Oriented paradigm. · Experience demonstrating skill using formal IT change control philosophy to administer various tiers of enterprise-level applications (development, stage, production).
