*Position: PHP Consultant* *Location: Cary, NC* *Duration: 6+ Months* Responsibilities: - Develops software across a variety of platforms, undertaking design, development, documentation, testing and subsequent ongoing support of new and existing features. - Typically designs and develops complete features and core components of the product. - Works with Application Architect and Manager of Hosting Services Technology to define project deliverables, milestones, and manage risk/dependencies. - Adheres to agreed engineering standards, processes and programs. - Participates in peer review of designs and implementations. - Provides demonstration and training of components they have developed. - Actively searches for and addresses areas for improvement. Knowledge, skills and requirements: - PHP – at least 3 years of experience. - Web development – at least 3 years of experience. - JavaScript – at least 2 years of experience. - SQL – (at least 2 years of MySQL or SQL Server or Oracle). - CSS. - Needs to have developed something from start to finish. - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline. Skills: - System Administration experience (Linux/UNIX). - Experience with running/integrating open source projects and shell/perl/ruby scripting.
