*Project Manager Job Description:*



Responsible for managing and delivering to a project timeline. Works with
the product and business analyst team to ensure we stay within scope,
accountable for managing and reducing costs, and ensures quality is
monitored and continuously improved. Ensures cross-functional and vendor
teams are supported and are accountable to deadlines. Provides timely and
succinct communication, and ensures collaboration with all team members.



*Requirements*

• Experienced in formal software development project management; experience
with formal PMO structure

• Expert in MS Project with ability to learn new software quickly;
expertise in MS SharePoint and/or JIRA a plus

• Solid understanding of database, analysis and reporting concepts; solid
understanding of how BI differs from front end web development a plus

• Experience managing BI, Data Warehouse, Data Migration or Web Analytics
projects a plus

Project management

• Drive BI and Data Migration projects to completion

• Identify project tasks and milestones, assign delivery time, ensure
alignment with program milestone and dates

• Conduct & maintain resource planning, assign tasks to resources, manage
progress

• Approve timesheets, track & approve invoices

• Plan sprint, identify dependencies to other team, drive delivery of
dependencies

• Draft monthly financial accruals

• Identify risks and issues and come up with plan to mitigate risk and
resolve issues

• Communicate identified risks and issues to the executives in a timely
manner

• Co-ordinate with multiple teams and vendors

Analysis

• Identify source and target, and data requirements for data migration
project

• Create conceptual diagram

• Gather requirements & business rules and ensure implementation of rules
within project timeline

Documentation/Tools

• Business rules document

• Create and maintain Project plan

• Create and maintain cutover plan

• JIRA tickets



*Specific duties include:*

• Must be business savvy; understands the must haves/dos for the project
and ultimately for our customers

• Has worked with vendors, and knows how to best lead and manage teams

• Experience in managing a budget and spend, understands the importance of
tracking actuals and run rate, accruals, write-offs, reconciliation, paying
our vendors on-time, comprehending contracts (understanding of when to
engage with finance and legal as needed)

• Deliveries on PM responsibilities and understands the SDLC, Agile and
Waterfall frameworks

• Metrics and Scorecard – understand the importance of tracking and
monitoring the team performance

• Working with multiple and conflicting priorities

• Following up on milestones, action items, issues, risks, change requests
(ensuring owners are on-track and delivering to due dates/milestones)

• Effectively communicating and interacting with people at all levels of
the organization

• Ability to work some non-standard hours

• Accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned project tracks

• Establishes and manages the project work plan

• Works with the scrum master and vendor project manager(s) to ensure the
timely completion of deliverables.

• The project manager must ensure that the backlog is created and
maintained timely, and in accordance with the program rules, backlog must
be prepared for grooming – including vetted with product managers, BAs,
Creative and/or UX designers as appropriate)

• Manages project resources, including: identifies and secures resources
for the project, this includes ensuring that they are on-boarded per the
requirements of the company and the program

• Submits requests for resources changes to the program director and
prepares the documents needed for the change

• Enters all deliverables in the Project Deliverables tracker.  (Any task
that is a document is input immediately after the task is created so that
it’s successful completion is tracked and input in the repository)

• Serves as the first escalation point for all project issues.  Enters
issues into the issues tracker, facilitates the evaluation of each issue
for change, and serves as the change agent for their project pillar.

• Responsible for escalating to the Operating Committee and Program
Management as appropriate

• Acts as backup for the scrum master during the daily stand-ups

• Participates to all meetings with vendor and all the PMs

• Other duties as assigned

blockers, issues, dependencies, risks and provide proactive updates)
