~ *Experience with SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008* in an *Enterprise
environment
*~ Experience with consolidating multiple independent SQL servers into more
streamlined configuration
~ Expereince with migration is a must.
~ Ability to perform version upgrades from 2000 or 2005 to 2008 as needed
~ Deep understanding and ability to discuss pros-cons of high availability
and high performance replication topologies native to SQL 2008
~ Good understanding of stored procedures to be able to evaluate servers for
upgrade or consolidation
~ Excellent writing and communications skills
~ (Desired but not required) Experience with converting physical SQL servers
into a virtual infrastructure using *VMware ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V*
