Job Description: We have an immediate contract position for a Systems Analyst to help design a major eCommerce applications for our client. The application provides functionality for a commercial property and casualty insurance company and is intended to facilitate significant growth in new business. The ideal candidate will be very technical and have a programming and systems background. The candidate needs to be able to analyze requirements and work with various users to develop a functional architecture, create the systems specification, do screen mockups, create an efficient UI design and build the associated documentation to be used for systems development. Skills Requirements: - 8-10+ years of Systems Analysis experience - Translation of business requirements and functional specifications into detailed technical requirements - Design of user interface for web based applications – ideally in an eCommerce application - Design of data flow and data transformation processes - Thorough understanding of multiple system platforms and technologies - Thorough understanding of system interactions and integration requirements - Excellent experience and knowledge with Business Process Modeling - Ability to document systems and technical specifications in a detailed and understandable manner - Good understanding of various UML templates - Excellent knowledge of various design patterns - Experience with database systems analysis and design - Experience coding in SQL would be a plus - Detailed Use Case development - Experience with Visio or other modeling tools for doing UI mockups and UML document creation This is at least a six to nine month contract opportunity with a strong possibility for extension.
