- Location= Cedar Rapids, IA - Duration= 1 year - Interview= Phone and Skype - Key Skills: big data, analytics, ETO(data movement), tool evaluation, software evaluation, data warehousing Responsible for creating guidance on application architecture for the division and evaluating new technologies in terms of our overall Architecture strategy. Responsibilities will also include monitoring existing processes in support of the division's Architecture program. • Creates and maintains the technical architecture strategy/roadmap based on the strategic business needs of the organization. • Presents and communicates architectural proposals and recommendations to divisional leadership and business partners. Communicates advantages and disadvantages of proposed solutions and makes recommendations based on business objectives or requirements. • Leads and advises project teams in the development of high-level technical designs to ensure project solutions are in line with the division’s architectural strategy. Provides the team with focus on reuse, reusability and business services. • Oversees the Architectural Review processes for the division and performs architectural design reviews. • Determines and champions technical standards for the division and participates in quality assurance process reviews to ensure there is adherence to standards. • Evaluates and recommends new technologies, tools and applications that support divisional architectural strategies and goals. • Assists application teams and business partners in adopting technology or processes to align with strategic objectives. • Provides training to users and technical staff on new technology and technical solutions • Assists application teams with implementation of technical solutions to business services within the division's Architecture. • Evaluates new products, tools, and applications that will help the division meet its goals. • Makes recommendations on enhancements to the Architecture program. • Closely monitors industry information technology trends and participates in industry technology forums. • Communicate pros and cons to Management of new technology trends. • Other duties as assigned based on divisional needs. • Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules. • Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance. Qualifications for Senior Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 5 years professional information technology experience with 3-5 years of applicable development experience. Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies. Qualifications for Lead Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum of 8 years professional IT experience with previous architecture experience required. Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Financial Services industry experience desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Has appreciable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.
