*Mid-Level PHP Position* * Fort Lauderdale, FL * This client will generally *keep contractors on for multiple years* as long as they are doing a good job. *Job Description:* · Develop of both backend (business logic) and front end based enhancements to the application using PHP on the back end and HTML. CSS on the front end. · Responsible for the development in a solid Object Oriented environment using PHP/PERL/PYTHON. · Responsible for developing the front end and using HTML and CCS for the development. This is not graphic design, but rather the front end web screen shots. · Responsible for developing database connections using Stored Procedures and creating SQL Statements for data movement. · This is a heavy transaction based application that has a heavy XML and SOAP based environment and they will be required to develop enhancements that support this requirement. *Required Skills:* · 5+ years of experience with PHP / LAMP Application Development (PHP, Perl, Python) · 3+ years of experience with Relation Database Systems (MySQL, Sybase) · 3+ years experience with Unix / Linux Operating System · 2+ years experience with HTML/CSS/DHTML/JavaScript · 2+ years experience with Apache Web Servers · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Candidate must be an energetic, self-motivated problem solver who works well in a team. · Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related Field *Desired Skills: * · Experience with PHP MVC Frameworks (Zend) · Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, Ajax, Web Services, Cross-Browser Compatibility and Version Control systems · Experience with page templating systems, session data storage, caching, and inter-process communication. · Experience developing large-scale web applications · Understanding of professional software development processes.
