*Work Location:McLean, VA* *Role:SAS Data Integration Developer* *Duration: 7 months* *Start Date: As soon as possible.* *Job description:* Responsible for developing data flows and mappings data from multiple sources (40+ internal source systems) and loading the data into a Data Warehouse. The consultant must have 3 years of DI Studio project development experience along with being an advanced SAS/SQL programmer (SAS Data Flux experience is a plus). Must have robust Data Warehousing and Data Modeling project experience. 1) Integrating and managing the data mappings from the client’s data sources (mainly Teradata, Oracle) to the Reporting/Analytical data mart using SAS DI Studio. Designing, developing and implementing the DI Studio job flows to load the data into SAS. 2) Data Architecting and Data Modeling design experience is preferred. 3) The consultant will be focused on automating controls related to data validation (comparing source to dependent target), data reconciliation (comparing 2 independent sources), and data quality (evaluating a target based on Completeness, Validity and Reasonableness rules). This position will be responsible for 1) Gathering data requirements and designing/developing data marts and 2) Performing analytical and programming activities including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of integrating the data management solutions, 3) Functioning as subject matter expert for Data Integration. *Skills Required / Preferred: * 1. Apply and demonstrate expertise with efficient DATA step, SQL programming, SAS Macro programming and Enterprise Guide processing. 2. Minimum of 3 (three) years’ experience developing technical solutions with SAS Data Integration Studio (SAS Data Flux experience is a plus). 3. Must have project experience with sophisticated Base SAS development for performance enhancement and advanced SAS Dataset storage best practices. 4. Have good oral and written communication skills. 5. Lead and/or actively participate in SAS knowledge-sharing activities. 6. Must be able to read, and understand existing coding and processing to troubleshoot and resolved issues as they arise. Demonstrate the ability to work with little direct supervision; Excellent troubleshooting skills; Imaginative, inquisitive, with a self-motivating personality and a strong work ethic; Customer focused demeanor.
