*Oracle DBA with Oil & Gas Industry Exp.* *Location: Bartlesville, OK* *Duration: 12 months* This position is for an Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). The Senior Oracle DBA will coordinate activities performed by the team, track and report on team activities, define and document team processes, troubleshoot escalated issues and will be hands-on in operational DBA tasks which involves database monitoring, performance tuning, backup and recovery, installation, maintenance, and disaster recovery. The position is part of Database Operations within Database Services. Database Operations provides database administration global enterprise. *Responsibilities may include:* • Reporting to management on the Oracle DBA team activities • Providing root cause analysis of service disruptions • Troubleshooting escalated Oracle database issues • Defining, documenting and maintaining Oracle DBA team processes • Providing Oracle 10g/11g/12c database administration, database security and production support, primarily in a UNIX environment • Installation and maintenance of Oracle databases • Planning and execution of database backup and recovery • Providing database diagnosis and tuning for performance and stability • Managing physical database design and implementation, database security implementation and monitoring • Using ConocoPhillips change management processes to prevent production disruptions and outages • Researching and recommending solutions that best meet business needs and Enterprise operational requirements • Partnering with other IT teams to ensure quality support and delivery to the end-user This position participates in an on-call rotation with other DBA's to provide 24X7 coverage Basic/Required: • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Information Technology or other Information Technology related field • 5+ years of direct DBA experience working with Oracle Enterprise • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) using command-line and OEM • 3+ years of direct IT experience supporting database environments on a Unix platform • 1+ year of experience with configuring and managing databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 10g/11g/12c • Flexibility to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends 2 professional references of the Reporting Manager from latest projects highly desired.
