He/She will suggest and implement, based on industry standards, improvements to the existing environment He//She will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, implementation, and maintenance of the Hospital Wireless Network, which is currently in the planning phase. He/She will be required to oversee all outside consultants/vendors doing work on this and any Downstate wireless projects. Successful candidate will have strong technical skills and above average abilities in planning, solution structure, assessment, analysis, design, architecture, & technical writing.Required Skills Hands on experience with Cisco devices5 years of overall data network experience2 years experiences in design of data networksExperience in design and implementation of wireless data networks CCNP or CCIE certificationUNIX / Linux experience.Experience Experience with the following systems is required: Cisco lOS, Cisco Works 2000, Cisco WCS, Cisco WiSM2, Cisco Clean Access, Cisco ICE, Cisco ACS, Cisco PRIME, F5 Load balancer, DHCP, WhatsUp and syslog server.Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, analytical, and organizational skills are required. A creative approach to information systems issues and problems, and a demonstrated record of developing and bringing large scale projects on line is a plusRequired Experience Minimum of 5 years experience in computer networking in a large environment including managing Cisco switches and routers. This experience should include project management and system selection responsibilities. Minimum of 3 years experience working with large scale wireless networks.
