Location: Wilmington, DE Duration: 2 yrs Skills: 1. Success in IT support of an Operations Business Environment – for example, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Material Management, Maintenance 2. Ability to quickly learn and grasp the business aspects and terminology of Amtrak’s Mechanical Operations 3. Excellent written documentation skills and demonstrated experience 4. Excellent oral/communication and interpersonal skills – ability to work in teams and with senior management as well as coaching/supporting line management in the field 5. 3-5 years of previous experience as a technical report developer. 6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university; or equivalent education/experience in the information technology field. 7. Demonstrated experience in systems and/or data analysis. 8. Experience developing and implementing Business Intelligence and data warehouse solutions, preferably using dimensional modeling. 9. Intermediate level of experience with Business Objects Enterprise tools and administration, including InfoView, Data Services, Universe Designer, Crystal Reports 2008, Web Intelligence and Xcelsius. 10. Solid understanding and working knowledge of BO multi-tier environment (Client, Intelligence, Application, Processing, Data), their role, dependency and communication process in BO XI architecture. 11. In depth knowledge of distributed installation for BO XI components: CMS, CMC, WCA, InfoView, Client Tools, and Xcelsius over SAP BI landscape. 12. Competent in developing Universes, WebI/DeskI/Crystal reports, WebI and Xcelsius Dashboards. 13. Solid understanding of databases (Oracle), strong SQL/PLSQL, proficiency in troubleshooting and performance tuning of different database connectivity to the BO XI application server. 14. Database design and/or management experience, preferably with SQL Server 2005. 15. Familiarity with standard business processes and reporting. 16. Demonstrated ability to extract and refine data needs from diverse audiences.. 17. Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative team environment.
