This will be a six month contract and then convert to full time. Candidates must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents, TN1/2 or EAD/GC. No sponsorship from the client. Our client is looking for a Sr. ColdFusion Developer that will be responsible for developing, enhancing and supporting a suite of ColdFusion eCommerce applications. The ColdFusion Developer will interact with business customers, analysts, and other application developers in the design, development and maintenance of ColdFusion applications. The ideal candidate will be able to lead the development and maintenance of the existing codebase while continually customizing it to support organizational growth. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to): Must have experience in design and development of ColdFusion Web Applications, including developing presentation layers using AJAX, JavaScript, HTML and jQuery. Proficient in Web design and programming Experience with the creation of packages and web services Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to design, develop, test, debug, and maintain ColdFusion applications Participate on project teams that support the product development lifecycle. Initial focus will be supporting eCommerce related projects. Participate in all aspects of an iterative software development process, including: scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, coding, unit testing, code review, debugging, and on-going maintenance and support. Modify and maintain existing websites as web development requests come in from various business units and product teams. Attend scrum sessions for assigned projects. SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: Great attitude and team player, with excellent communication skills. Minimum of 8+ years of experience is must in application development, particularly ColdFusion applications. Experience with DOM Scripting, JavaScript, CSS3/4, and HTML4/ 5 Experience with popular and widely-used JavaScript libraries such as JQuery Experience with other scripting languages such as PHP and Python is a plus.
