*Duration:* Long term *Rate: $7500/ 4Weeks* *GC/Citizens Only* *REQUIRED SKILLS:* • 6 years of SQL Server experience. • SQL Server 2012 configuration and cluster installation • Experience as a MS SQL development/administrator on large scale software development project. • Must have experience with replication, and SQL Always-on configuration • Experience with applying service packs, backups and restore • Monitor SQL server performance, utilization, usage of DMV queries to performance tune SQL scripts • Must have worked hand in hand with developers. • Must have experience in troubleshooting complex SQL stored procedures and queries. • Must have experience in writing complex SQL queries. • Must have experience in developing and troubleshooting SSIS packages. • Education: Baccalaureate or graduate degree (MS, MA, PhD) from an accredited college/university in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable area of study. If substituting an area of study other than computer science or computer engineering, include substantiation for equivalence. • Minimum 1 year experience with MS-Reporting Services (SSRS).. • Minimum 1 year experience with MS-Integration Services (SSIS). • Strong Analytical Skills • Good communication skills DESIRED SKILLS: • It is desirable that the Database Designer has experience working with MS SQL Server 2012 cluster including database schema design, optimization, SQL development, failover, replication, XML, meta-data for a period of one (1) year or more. • It is desirable that the Database Designer has a current Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBAs) Certification. • Familiarity with SQL reporting server configuration and security provisioning • Current certification for Practitioner’s or Manager’s Certificate in ITIL IT Services Management. RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTED DELIVERABLES: • SQL Server administration , configuration and support large scale development team • Releasing database scripts to development and QA testing environments. • Proficient in backup and restores duties. • Working and co-coordinating with Developers to do weekly builds. • Do database code reviews. • Create data dictionary and maintain database baselines. • Help developers in developing SSRS reports. • Creating, maintaining, and optimizing database objects (e.g. views, catalogs, and triggers).
