*GC/USC* *Title: Splunk Enterprise Consultant* *Location: Stamford, CT* *Duration: 6 months, with possible extension* *Responsibilities:* Provides Splunk technical and infrastructure consulting services to clients Completes tasks in an efficient and timely manner reporting process to the implementation Project Manager and Engagement Manager Seeks innovative ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to clients Shares suggestions and knowledge capital to help optimize implementation methodology Enable and coach clients to support their Splunk deployments *Required Skills* Solid understanding and work experience as a technical consultant and/or lead Minimum of 2 years current, hands-on Splunk technical infrastructure experience Splunk version 5.0 or greater experience required, upgrade and implementation experience is desired Experience with Splunk Searching and Reporting, Knowledge Objects, Clustering and Forwarder Management Prior System Administrator experience Internet and Web technology understanding Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly *Desired Skills* Knowledge of scripting and application development languages (e.g., java, python, .NET, bash) Experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems Expert administration knowledge in a number of technical areas which may include PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle database administration, Microsoft SQL Server, WebLogic, upgrades, installations, database tuning, and architecture.
