Role: Network Engineer Location: Smyrna, DE 19977 Duration: 3-6 Months Required / Desired Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Required Prior experience in identifying, tracking and resolving issues affecting telecom and network applications Required Prior experience in developing contingency plans for associated telecom work. Required Prior experience creating and updating subject matter expert documentation for expected application operation and use Required Prior experience within a customer service environment providing technical, analytical and diagnostic support Required Prior experience assisting in network planning and connectivity for supported applications Required Prior experience with IT customer support in a transportation environment Highly desired Required Prior experience coordinating enhancements for network modernization/improvement Required Experience actively participating in analysis and evaluation of emerging hardware standards as they apply to the network and/or related applications. Required Experience in router VLANS (ex. Cisco/Juniper), switch and IP peripheral device (ex. Required Experience working with serial communications (RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485) Required Experience configuring and supporting dynamic routing protocol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Required Experience configuring and supporting the exterior gateway protocol known as Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) Required Experience working with video encoders/decoders over IP and video control software in web and client server environments.
