Job Title: Automation Engineer Location: Broomfield, CO Duration: 12+ Months Requirements Include: Technical / Functional Skills experience with the full spectrum of software quality practices utilizing the Agile methodology in a Scrum framework proven ability to perform backend and UI testing on API platform creation, execution and maintenance of all manual and automated test cases ability to write and execute database queries understand relational databases ability to execute Unix commands management of all test suites for continuous integration, smoke and regression testing Able to analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, errors, configuration issues and interoperability flaws have the ability to create performance and load test scripts monitor and communicate all test results strong troubleshooting and issue resolution skills gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements ability to follow best practices and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles experience writing automated test cases with tools such as Selenium, Eclipse, Maven applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team (Java, Ruby/Rails, MySQL, Unix, VI) experience leading, coaching and mentoring junior QA staff onsite, offsite or offshore Soft Skills Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and test cases. To communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders Creative solving of technical problems – to ensure the ability translate technical requirements test plans Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly Ability to think abstract – to ensure ability to not conform to the norm.
