Java Application Architect Orlando FL Hospitality & Entertainment Industry 2-3 Year Contract Responsibilities: · Lead/Guide a team of developers working from various location across the globe · Present/Discuss, walkthrough the merits of the solutions recommendations with a group of enterprise architects · Institute and Lead the adoption of best practices, coding standards and development practices to improve the quality of the deliverables · Conduct peer-to-peer and SME code review sessions within the development team and with the client personnel · Experienced in integrating backend RESTful services with Client/UI side technologies with loosely coupled, flexible solutions · Hands on experience in using OR mapping tools like MyBatis, Hibernate and seamless integration with RESTful services · Ability to define/develop application frameworks that utilizes declarative programming practices and principles using configuration to produce functioning code · Experienced with Authentication and Authorization APIs such as Spring Security to develop custom Role Based Access Control mechanisms · Experience with PL/SQL procedures and tuning techniques to improve performance and integration with object technologies · Experience in designing and prototyping user interface layouts to match usability requirements · Heavy use of client side scripting using JavaScript, Ajax and Web 2.0 technologies such as jQuey, jQgrid · Experience with generating spreadsheet applications (jQuery plugins) over web and rich user interaction with the grids and front end validations · Have experience with integrating new systems and applications from legacy environments · Review documents / conduct interviews to understand - business needs, organizational readiness, technical, and application framework · Define layered architecture and lead technical teams - presentation layer, data layer, business layer, etc. · Identify the scope and business objectives of each release and its dependencies with other initiatives · Ensures best practices are adhered to in the adoption of new technologies. · Architects solutions across multiple hardware/software computing environments and system components. · Researches, evaluates and selects from existing and emerging technologies the options best fitting business and IT strategic needs.
