*Need For Webmethods/Middleware Consultant In DC.*

*Position  : *Webmethods
*Location : *Washington, DC
*Duration : * 6 Months

*Skills and Experience Required :*
• Minimum 5 years admin experience with webMethods in operational support
role; few years of development experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Linux environment.
• Experience troubleshooting issues related to webMethods installation,
configuration or performance.
• Experience upgrading webMethods from 7/8 to version 9.X
• Working knowledge of at least one additional middleware product: Weblogic,
apache, or tomcat.
• Working knowledge of databases, networking, and SSL protocols.
• Ability to review application requirements and determine the
configuration needed to support the application.
• Ability to participate in meetings with other technical teams to
understand infrastructure changes which may affect the middleware
environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills including team collaboration, leadership,
presentation, and organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a diverse team from various
technology backgrounds.
• Create/configure new webMethods and other middleware instances required
by the project teams.
• Create automation for routine support activities like installation,
enable/disable adaptors using scripts, BladeLogic or webMethods.
• Assist development teams as webMethods SME.
• Perform troubleshooting and/or configuration changes to resolve
middleware issues.
• Work with webMethods vendor to identify product related issues and
patches as needed.
• Work with internal vulnerability management team on identification and
remediation of security issues.
• Write documentation for other administrators.
• Participate in meetings with technical staff to discuss issues in plans
and strategies.
• Perform basic middleware admin support for other technologies supported
by the team: weblogic, apache, tomcat, and others as needed.
• Ensure Freddie Mac’s webMethods installations meet all security
guidelines and control requirements; update configurations as needs to meet
security standards and controls
• Participate in on-call rotation, with additional weekend support as
required by project releases
