*Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills *
8 + years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures,
theories, principles, and practices
5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience.
Build, upgrade and migrate SQL server from its lower version to latest
version is an essential
Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and
relational database environments
Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques
This position required experience with installing and maintaining sql
server 2012 , 2008 and 2005 databases in standalone and cluster environments
(*experience with sql 2012 a must*).
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring
and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with HA and DR methodologies (clustering and Mirroring,
Replication and Log shipping)
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
Good communication and documentation skills.
