ยท This position is specific to load/scalability testing of the
backend/data-processing engine.
- As a Senior Performance Test Engineer, you would play a prominent role
in developing performance, load and scalability tests for the backend
services including web services and database engines.
- As part of the Agile engineering team, the Performance Test Engineer
will apply subject matter expertise to identify key problem areas, plan,
estimate, and design performance tests using available tools.
- More specifically, the candidate will be commissioned to develop tests
- which establish and verify speed or responsiveness benchmarks of a
user action or event
- scale up load to ensure appropriate application behavior and
resource consumption
- scale up load beyond peak levels to stress the system, find
breakpoints, verify recovery
- apply moderate load over longer durations of time to ensure
endurance/longevity
- use common and specialized data tools to generate large, complex
data sets based on testing requirements
- develop and maintain automated tests within the recommended
automation infrastructure, composed of tests at both the API and
UI levels.
*Required Skills:*
- BS Degree in relevant field plus a minimum of 5 years in developing
tools and technologies to perform load/scalability testing of large
customer facing web applications.
- Strong automation experience in Python and/or JAVA.
- Strong Linux experience.
- Expert in using load/scalability measurement tools like JMeter/SoapUI
or other opens source frameworks.
- Strong experience in MySQL, database technologies.
- Experience in web servers like Apache, Nginx.
*Preferred Skills:*
- Experience in continuous integration, bug tracking tools, source code
control systems. For example: Jenkins, JIRA, GIT.
- Experience in open source technologies like redis pubsub, celery
queues, no-SQL technologies like Cassandra, MongoDB.
