We have two immediate openings for Build Engineers with Subversion expertise

of the role:



*Provide consulting services to meet the following business objectives: *

*•        Document best practices as well as project status on wiki*

*•        Work closely with local and remote teams as projects are migrated
to iSVN*

*•        Help with conversion of our CruiseControl Build Infrastructure
from CVS to Subversion*

*•        Troubleshoot build errors in CruiseControl after conversion to
iSVN*

*•        Help local and remote teams validate builds created from iSVN*

*•        ANT scripting updates*

*•        Provide guidance on directory structure and multiple branching
model*

*•        Provide best practices for branching, labeling for iSVN *

*•        Help Teams learn to use Client tools for iSVN*

*•        Attend weekly iSVN project team meeting*

*•        Attend bi-weekly HPCA program team meeting focused on iSVN
migration*

*•        Help us formalize our archiving solution for cvs*

*•        Help us with solutions for our third party code and documentation
*

*Qualifications*

*•        5+ years experience in build engineering / release management in
large commercial software environment.*

*•        Windows and Unix environments*

*•        C, C++, Java, tcl, .msi installers*

*•        Expertise in Subversion Architecture *

*•        Expertise in Branching, Merging, (Re)Baselining using Subversion*

*•        Experience with the iSVN HP internal solution *

*•        Must have experience with CruiseControl*

*•        Experience with Source Control tools – CVS, TortoiseSVN, Subclipse
(Eclipse plug-in for Subversion)*

*•        Highly motivated and self-driven. Ability to multi-task and work
effectively with limited supervision.*

*•        Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Software
Configuration Management practices, Release Management methodologies and
Production support.*

*•        Must be a team player, proactive and able to communicate well,
verbally and in writing. Must be able to respond well to challenging
deadlines and to interface well with various disciplines and departments.
Must be capable of multi-tasking*

*•        Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle. *

*•        Working knowledge of Release Automation and Scripting Tools.*

*•        Working knowledge of Software Configuration and Software Change*

*•        **Excellent communication and problem solving skills *

*•        BS in CS or related field required*
