We currently have a contract opportunity open on our *Business Intelligence
team in a Sr. Business Analyst *capacity. Please see attached job

*Start Date*    ASAP/Immediate

*Duration*      3 months with prospect for renewal


The Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Business Analyst (BA) requires an
excellent communicator that thrives in a collaborative environment.  This
position demands both business acumen and technological exposure in BI.
The Sr. BA must bridge the gap between the business and IT partners through
facilitation, mediation, documentation and analytics.  The Sr. BI BA is an
individual that can work independently and possesses strong attention to
detail.  The position reports to the Manager of Business Intelligence.



The Sr. BI BA will collect requirements for BI initiatives, both small and
large.  This person will work with project and business teams to drive
process through the software development lifecycle.



*Responsibilities:*

·         Elicit and document requirements

·         Coordinate handoffs between business partners and IT

·         Use requirements to ensure designed/developed solution meets the
needs of the business sponsors

·         Ensure adequate testing is completed during QA test and UAT

·         Create and conduct training for new BI functionality

·         Provide support to the business during warranty period after
implementation

·         Provide status of open requests to business partners

·         Notify leadership of any risks or customer facing issues

·         Participate in on-call support rotation on a limited basis

·         Serve as an advocate for improved business user experience

·         Support the adoption of industry best practices for business
analysis

·         Reviews documents of others; looks to automate processes and
create efficiencies

·         Establishes successful working and support relationships with
cross-functional leaders and staff as well as third party vendors

*Required Skills:*

·         Strong knowledge of requirements gathering methodologies

·         Data Warehouse/BI experience

·         Strong SQL Skills

·         Experience with upper quadrant BI Tool (Business Objects,
MicroStrategy, OBIEE, Cognos, etc.)

·         Experience documenting Use Cases/Users Stories

·         Excellent facilitator with proven ability to effectively manage
meetings and gain consensus

·         Present material in a clear and concise manner

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as
demonstrated interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work independently or as part of a team

·         Proactive thinking, analytical thinking and problem solving skills

·         Detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task

·         Experience with all phases of Software Development Lifecycles

·         Tools:  MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Word, MS PowerPoint



*Preferred Skills:*

•         Retail Industry

•         BA certification

•         Tools/Technical:  Business Objects, Teradata, Customer Management
Relationship toolset



*Experience: *

•         At least 5 years of experience

o    Working in a BA or developer position on a BI team

o    Participating in an active production support role

•         At least 3 full implementation lifecycles of IT supported
application

•         Bachelors’ degree preferred; will consider equivalent combination
of education and experience in Business Analysis
