*Job Title : Java Developer Web Developer strong FRONT-END SKILLS Location : Minneapolis, MN Duration : 6-12 Months Rate : Market Domain financial company that would be best!* Position Description: Experience Level: 5-7 years technical background and 3-5 years directly related web experience Description: Develops and implements complex internet and intranet applications on one or more platforms. Acts as an escalation point for production troubleshooting guidance; provides training and mentoring to less experienced developers. May perform website and portal monitoring. Uses knowledge of web technologies to lead projects resulting in functional enhancements of web-based applications. Evaluates systems specifications for client web site requirements, leads design presentations, influences direction and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution. Coordinates with systems partners outside the group and oversees contractors on projects. Performs web-enabled database development and module design. Uses programming tools to write scripts. Performs web security activities and participates in security planning. This person will be in a team of 2 modifying the tax reporting web front-end application. Candidate must have Extensive experience with JAVA J2EE (EJBs and JSPs), WebSphere, Web Services, MQ Messaging, XML, ANT Scripting, UNIX, JavaScript, SQL. Any advanced Java Skills and mainframe technologies a plus. In addition, knowledge and experience in web-based environment support technologies,monitoring tools, Operating Systems (Windows, Unix). Experience working with environmental support groups, other systems areas, and working with remote staff is also beneficial. Demonstrates proven ability to apply skills to develop technology based solutions that map to business goals, are developed against exacting requirements and are predictably delivered. Must have excellent organizational skills, be detail and process-oriented, customer focused and a self-starter excited about working in a fast paced environment.
