We are seeking a Sr. Datastage Architect with financial experience to
support an expanding Enterprise Data Management Program.
The candidate will report to the Director of Information Delivery and work
closely with the Data Warehouse Architect to provide technical leadership
and direction in implementing enterprise data management solutions.
*Key Responsibilities: *
* Analyze existing DataStage jobs, ensuring best practices are being
followed, and recommending short term and long term improvement roadmap
* Responsible for producing documents for DataStage best practices
* Designing jobs for optimal performance, reusability and restartability
* Translating current ETL architecture into DataStage specific architecture
* Writing Oracle packages to enhance ETL
* Writing ETL test cases based on business scenarios
* Interacting and leading an offshore development team which includes effort
estimates and review of ETL deliverables
* Performing daily routine functions as a DataStage admin
*Minimum Required Skills and Experience: *
* Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline,
or equivalent required.
* Banking or Financial Services Industry experience required.
* 5+ Experience in Information Server 8.0 on UNIX/Linux platforms
* Demonstrate knowledge in implementing full life cycle data warehousing
projects
* Experience supporting enterprise data warehouse and data marts
* Strong knowledge of Start schema and Snow flake schemas, involved in
designing DW concepts like conformed dimensions, conformed facts and Data
Warehouse bus architecture for ETL development
* Strong database background with Oracle and PL/SQL skills
* Strong verbal/written communications and presentation skills
* Must be a self-starter, work well independently and in a collaborative
team environment
* 7+ years of experience in implementing full life cycle data warehousing
projects
* Exposure to onsite * offshore working model
