*Job Title : Websphere Administrators Location : Charolete NC Duration : 1 Year Rate : Market* Systems Engineer/Integrator RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform system implementation, tuning and day-to-day technical support for complex custom J2EE applications running in LINUX, AIX and VMware production, development and test environments Install, maintain, configure, migrate, administer and troubleshoot enterprise environments that including WAS ND, WebSphere Portal, FileNet P8, messaging, TAM, DB2 UDB, Oracle DB. Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation support team providing immediate response to high priority requests including after hours and weekends. Configuration and maintenance of production monitoring system to ensure applications are proactively monitored for optimal performance Maintain maximum uptime and performance for production applications. Perform root cause analysis and make recommendations for improvement as related to availability, errors, performance, and usage patterns of the application. Establish and perform structured change management best practices for implementing system changes, configuration modifications, application upgrades and patches. Maintain relationship with third party suppliers and vendors for support, interactions, and maintenance. Develop, test and document operations procedures and configuration information for installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring. Develop automation for application administration, management, rapid deployment and monitoring. Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other team members Qualifications/skills/abilities/experience: 4+ years Linux (Red Hat) and/or AIX experience. Knowledge of J2EE framework and applications with at least 4+ years of experience in enterprise production support of middleware products such as WebSphere Application Server, FileNet, TAM, LDAP, Apache, DB2, Oracle. In-depth knowledge and 3+ years experience directly related to WebSphere Application Server ND 5/6 support and configuration including performance tuning, clustering, automating, etc. Knowledge of WAS monitoring tools such as Introscope and Tivoli and experience performance tuning J2EE based applications a plus. Knowledge and experience with ANT or Jython and Application Server Toolkit (AST) developing, testing, and debugging WebSphere Application Server automation scripts Knowledge and experience with WebSphere Application Server high availability, load balancing, tuning, backup and disaster recovery strategies Knowledge and experience with IBM FileNet P8 Content Manager Knowledge of common Java based technologies (JMX, JDBC, JMS, JNDI, EJB, etc.) required. Knowledge and experience with UNIX scripting (shell, awk, perl, python) Good understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and web-based technologies, such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, HTML, JavaScript, etc. Must have the willingness and flexibility to support and manage 24x7 production environments.
