*Position:Sr. Network Engineer with NSX *
*Location:Lincolnshire, IL*
*Duration:6+ Months*
*Description:*

   - Candidates need to have at least 6 years hands-on experience
   maintaining secure enterprise networks. Candidates will also be responsible
   for designing new solutions, installs, repairs, patching, and changes to
   environments necessary to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
   - Primary Duties and Responsibilities
   - Managing company LANs, WANs, storage networks, virtual networks
   (VMWare NSX), wireless networks, load balancers, routers, switches,
   firewalls, and other network related appliances.
   - Maximizing network performance and resiliency by monitoring
   performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling
   upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
   - Ensuring network services have sufficient capacity, stability, and
   agility to satisfy service level agreements with internal business units
   and external customers
   - Undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area
   environments, using information from multiple sources and tools.
   - Responding to inquiries from engineers, developers, operators,
   helpdesk, and database administrators.
   - Providing on-call support for general IT systems, servers, and network
   infrastructure.
   - Creating and updating network diagrams, procedures and policies to
   ensure adequate support of network environments
   - Periodic reporting of the network operational status and capacity to
   management team
   - Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities,
   reading professional publications, and staying active in professional
   organizations.

*Requirements*

   - Bachelors Degree (preferably Information Technology field) or
   equivalent work experience.
   - Minimum 6 years of experience with Cisco, Arista, F5, Palo Alto,
   VMWare and network virtualization technologies
   - Must have expert knowledge of Cisco routing and switching (WAN/LAN)
   - Must have strong firewall, load balancing and VPN configuration
   experience
   - Experience with MPLS, BGP, HSRP, OSPF, and VoIP protocols
   - Experience maintaining multi-site network operations and software
   applications, operating systems and regular maintenance with both private
   and public facilities
   - Ability to diagnose complex issues with routing/switching, packet loss
   and latency through utilizing packet capture analysis, network analysis and
   management tools (analyzers, Solarwinds, SNMP, snooping software, tcpdump,
   Wireshark)
   - Experience with Storage Area Network and Fiber Channel switching
   environments a plus
   - Good knowledge of the ports and protocols used by applications and
   services (Active Directory replication, SNMP, SMTP, DHCP, DNS, VMWare VDI,
   VPN, credit card authorization, and VoIP)
   - Avaya, or Cisco VoIP telecommunications experience a plus
   - Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare, and Security certifications are a plus.
   - Ability to work independently on projects and function as a technical
   team member.
   - Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly
   manner, both written and verbal
