In this dynamic role, you will work with a number of different technologies and platforms. You will also be working closely with technical team members to deliver complex technical solutions affecting multiple systems. A team-oriented attitude and mentality are firm requisites of this position. The application of SDLC processes and procedures as part of work product is expected. Experience, Skills, Knowledge The Senior Java Developer is must have at least 7 years of experience Experience developing business systems with the Java platform and knowledge of Unix/Linux systems is required. You should have experience with modern Java development, web-based technologies, service-oriented architecture, unit/system testing, and with at least one major relational database system Technical Experience/Skills Required - Practical past work experience with: Java (1.7, J2EE, Spring, etc.) Working knowledge of modern web-based technologies (HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, XML, etc.). Command-line build tools, i.e. Maven, Ant XML-based technologies such as XML, XSLT, XSD, WSDL, DTD, XPath, XQuery. Java application server technologies (JBoss/Wildfly, Tomcat, Jetty, Websphere) Unit testing frameworks and mocking, i.e. jUnit Enterprise integration patterns, integration frameworks like Apache Camel Messaging platforms such as JMS, Apache ActiveMQ or Microsoft MSMQ OSGI containers like Karaf Scripting, particularly in a Unix environment. Knowledge of Bash or PowerShell preferred. Major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, SQL, etc. Developing for Unix/Linux system environments Desired/Additional Skills Working knowledge of ORM technologies is desired (EntityFramework, JPA, Spring Data, Hibernate, etc.). Exposure to Perl, Ruby on Rails, or similar a plus. Experience producing and consuming SOAP and REST services, and well as experience in API management a strong plus.
