Immediate Need For Teradata DBA - Interview And Start ASAP!! Job Title: Teradata DBA Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Candidate should have strong Data Warehousing / BI background / SQL knowledge. Candidates with good Experience in Telecom/Cable Domain will be given preference Candidate should have strong Unix shell scripting knowledge Candidate should have Strong TD SQL skills & TD utilities Must have Extensive experience of tuning and modeling TD semantic layer Working knowledge of TD performance optimization- Must Working knowledge of TD DBA skills- Good to have Candidate should be flexible in working onshore/offshore model. Acts as the enterprise systems integrator between client and all data warehouse server back-ends, focusing on tuning/load balancing the Teradata EDW ecosystem for optimal throughput and processing of BI queries and ETL jobs. Supports multiple production and development environments as required by optimizing performance of Teradata EDW tools and services, resolving production problems and providing timely follow-up on problem reports. Participates in the version control, service patch implementation and support of all client/server components of the Teradata EDW ecosystem in close partnership with infrastructure and the user community. Acts as a liaison with ITS Solutions Development teams. Works on multiple projects as an EDW tools technical subject matter expert, participating when necessary in all phases of the project development lifecycle. Provides technical expertise and direction for the strategic and tactical development of an EDW Toolset and assists with the establishment of strategic architecture and infrastructure for the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence tools. Participates in prototyping efforts, ensuring functional coordination of all client/server layers. Assists team members in technical issue resolution. Develops standards, policies and procedures for EDW tools and utilities.
