*Job Summary*
This position is with the Business Intelligence Team. The individual would
be involved in design, development, unit testing and support of various
applications and system managed by the BI team. Must have a keen acumen to
identify issues and a very disciplined way of identify solutions. Must be a
team player with an ability to work with various groups within the IT
department. The individual must have the ability work concurrently on
multiple projects. This role would also involve support and carrying a
pager for 1 week in a month.
*Education/Training:*
• College degree - Computer Science or related field or
equivalent experience.
• Microsoft certification in SQL Server is desirable.
*Education/Training/Work Experience:*
• 5 years of working experience in SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2.
• 5 years of working experience in SSIS developing ETL packages
to transfer data between various sources.
• 3 – 4 years of working experience in Informatica developing
workflows, mappings for various data sources.
• Knowledge of SQL 2012 and SQL PDW is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Teradata is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of logical, physical, and dimensional data modeling
• Strong skills with SQL, stored procedures, database triggers,
macros and functions are a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot issues with processes and data to
identify root causes for data discrepancies
• Experienced in SQL Server performance tuning analysis.
• Should have good trouble shooting acumen and “can do”
attitude.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written
and oral.
• Able to manage multiple medium to large scale projects
simultaneously.
• Proven analytical and problem solving ability.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
• Work independently when required.
• Strong customer service skills.
*The technology stack would include the following:*
• SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2/2012.
• SSIS
• SSAS
• SSRS
• Teradata 6.01
• Informatica
