Soft skills: Intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated appetite to improve current conditions, specifically in the area of server management. Responsibilities: .Maintain the availability of these services within the XOPS Core Services team: .LDAP .DNS .DHCP .Puppet infrastructure .NTP .MTA .Advance the state of the above services to greater transparency, availability, and responsiveness to changing environmental demands. .Be able to work in a team environment of 6-8 engineers on the XOPS Core Services team and with application development teams to initiate and deliver improvements. .Production support may require after-hours response and remediation. Description: Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Performs engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
