*Position : UI Engineer (JavaScript) * *Location : Waltham, MA * *Duration : 12+ Months * *Interview : Phone then Face to Face* *Job Description* · This position for a Principle UI Engineer is still open with no current candidates, after the first set of interviews we have established the candidates need to have very strong JavaScript. · *In the first four interviews all of the candidates had put in their resume that they were experienced and strong in JavaScript but as soon as they were asked in depth questions they only had very basic skills. If you have any UI candidates for this position please screen them for advanced JavaScript skills.* · We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. · Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. · You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. · You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions. *Job Responsibilities* • Develop new user-facing features • Build reusable code and libraries for future use • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders • Translates designs and style guides provided by the UI/UX team into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility and performance • Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies *Basic Qualifications* • Education – BS CS or equivalent • Experience – Typically requires a minimum of 8‐12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7-10 years with a Master’s degree. *Skills* • Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds • Solid understanding of web markup, including *HTML5* and *CSS3* • Highly skilled at front-end engineering using *Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries and micro frameworks like jQuery, Angular, Prototype, Dojo, Backbone, YUI* • Proficiency in unit testing tools like Jasmin • Experience with *XML* and *JSON* technologies. • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and *AJAX* • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues • Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as *Require.js *and* AMD* • Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN • Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance • Proficiency in building reusable components and modules • Excellent Design skills. • Excellent communication skills. *Regards* *Priyank Varshney* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions* *221,Cornwell Dr, Bear,DE 19701* *Contact No : 302-261-3207 X 104* *Email :[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Hangout :priyankvsgbs* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
