*Position : Network Engineer with Service Provider Background * *Duration : 12+ Months* *Location : Palo Alto, CA then Mountain View, CA* *Phone/ Skype * *Main focus is strong SP Network background with a lot of IOS XR experience. High Touch Engineers are highest level of onsite escalation support. With that said, we can’t look for someone that is a Support Engineer in their current job. This person must be a strong Engineer that understands and has experience w/ PDI (Plan, Design, Implement). * *Job Responsibilities* · Provide Network Problem Resolution, Root-Cause Analysis, Software Referral assistance as per contracted agreement with named customer. · ASR, UBR, 7600 & 6K, Multicast, QoS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies. · DNCS, STB, RFGW-1, USRM, DCM · *Must have strong IOS XR experience* · Support customers in the design, installation and operation of Cisco's digital video delivery broadband systems and advanced transmission systems. · Receives minimal supervision, no instruction on routine work, and general instruction on new assignments. · Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors. · Provides systems/product training. · Provides guidance & leadership to less experienced engineers. · Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution. · Provides support on a world-wide basis. *Required Skills:* · At least 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting Nexus platforms and Routing/Switching across various Cisco platforms. · Minimum 4 years of networking experience, including configuring, analyzing & troubleshooting complex networks · Typically requires BS in CS or EE or equivalent plus 6-8 years related experience. *Desired Skills:* · Customer Relations - Must be able to make presentations to customers and document all work in a professional manner. · Demonstrated ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams · Software/Hardware Systems Engineering/System Integration experience · Detailed knowledge of Routing and Switching networks using UDP/TCP/IP. · In-depth understanding of various routing protocols. · UNIX, Microsoft expertise · Must have experience with a true client server environment. . · Expertise with SNMP- should be able to read and modify MIBs. · Working background using SQL · Testing experience and lab recreates are a plus · Nexus 7K expertise · Experience analyzing sniffer captures · Education- MS desired, BS required · Strong documentation skills - to be utilized for case management, knowledge capture, defect management and Trainings. · Very strong Problem Solving skills · Ability to drive recreates remotely-- Many issues result in the engineer needing to perform a recreate of the customer problem in order to isolate the issue and resolve. · Proven crisis management skills, and the ability to excel under pressure. · Demonstrated excellence in customer-interaction, written and verbal communication, assertive leadership. · CCIE strongly preferred Regards *Abhishek Kumar* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions* *221,Cornwell Dr, Bear,DE 19701* *Contact No : 302-261-3207 X 101* *Email :[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Hangout :abhishek.vsg* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
