Requirement : Senior Mobile/Android Developer Location : NYC Duration : Long Term Exp : 8+ years Interview Mode : Telephonic + Face2Face Job Description: Senior Mobile Developer, Android The Senior Mobile Developer is responsible for software development and design activities related to AETN's mobile applications on Android platforms including our flagship "Watch" applications for the History, A&E, Lifetime, and FYI television channels. This is a hands-on position for an accomplished developer with special expertise in applications for Android, for the media industry in particular. A good candidate will have an opportunity to develop high-profile mobile applications and is required to have hands-on experience developing on diverse platforms and deep expertise in developing for Android. Experience Desired . 6+ years of software development experience . 2+ years in mobile application development . 1+ years of experience in Digital Media . 2+ published applications in Google Play and/or Amazon appstore. . Experience in building Android applications; experience in multiple platforms is a plus . Experience in building video players for HLS and/or DASH video on mobile platforms . Experience in third party library integration (Analytics & Advertising) on mobile devices Knowledge & Skills Requirement . B.S. or B.A. or Technical Degree in Computer Sciences or E.E., M.S. a plus. . Java with experience in using Android API's including Networking, Web, Multimedia, Location, UI, and notifications. Familiarity with Object Oriented Design Patterns, Continuous Integration, HTML5 (Javascript, CSS3), XML, RSS, and JSON . Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for success in this position. In addition, the qualified candidate should have a firm understanding of Android Material Design and have a strong sense of good user experience for mobile applications. * Good communication and interpersonal skills.
