Contract to Hire role in Atlanta, GA (Perimeter) Job Title: Manager, Advanced Analytics Department: Analytics Job Description The Manager, Advanced Analytics, Analytics will provide thought-leadership to stakeholders and team members of varying levels and will help to inform and enable solutions that span the gamut in terms of analytic complexity from descriptive analytics insights to predictive models. The manager will lead, execute and coordinate analyses, models and projects from hypothesis to delivery which reflect deep knowledge of business questions and align with project and business objectives. Responsibilities · Leverage advanced analytics techniques to analyze large and disparate data sets for the purpose of delivering ad hoc analyses and insights or formulating analytics-enabled solutions in an online advertising environment. · Scope and lead analytics projects of varying sizes from hypothesis through delivery. · Decide analytic approach, then analyze or articulate analytics need and manage available resources for the purposes of contributing to consumer or customer experiences or internal stakeholder or team needs. · Partner across the organization or within a delivery team construct which includes key team members such as Product and IT, to offer input or perspective on scalability or use of the model or analytic solution. · Leverage advanced analytics techniques including building and managing algorithms and visualizing results and opportunities to communicate and present capabilities for use by the business. · Offer interpretation of analytical findings relative to the strategic objectives of the project or company. · Write queries (SQL, SAS, R, Hadoop) to develop analyses. Minimum Qualifications · Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of advanced statistical techniques · Proven expertise in developing and employing mathematical, statistical, data mining and machine-learning algorithms on real world problems, preferably resulting from an online environment. · Previous experience working with multiple, disparate, and sometimes unstructured data sources including Oracle, flat data files, and web-based interfaces and unstructured data as is found in Hadoop · An extensive background in data analysis, machine learning and data mining techniques · B.A. or B.S in Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, or Machine Learning related field, with experience, M.S or PhD preferred · Expertise in SAS, SQL or other scientific computing languages.
