Position: Systems Administrator Location: Frisco, TX Duration: 6+ months Rate: $40/hr on C2C or 1099
Under the general direction of the Director of Collaboration Services, the Systems Administrator III is responsible for assisting in the planning and support of the information technology environment. These activities will include the exploration of emerging information technology capabilities, monitoring of systems, maintaining the business continuity as it relates to systems, and participation in the proof of concept/pilot of new technologies. Candidates must be flexible to work Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Occasional 24/7 on call support required. Occasional weekend work required. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provide Level III support for email and messaging systems. 2. Recommend and implement O365 across all companies. 3. Perform large-scale infrastructure implementations. 4. Configure tools for monitoring and use them to proactively identify issues within email & messaging systems. 5. Recommend and implement appropriate levels of disaster recovery strategies for messaging systems. 6. Create and maintain technical documentation. 7. Develop training and mentor team members on IT Infrastructure. 8. Develop and train Service Desk and Endpoint Support to resolve level 1 and 1.5 Exchange issues. 9. Participate in monthly maintenance windows. 10. Strong project management skills. 11. Performs related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires some training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: 1. Solid understanding of Microsoft Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013, O365. 2. Cisco IronPort experience is a plus. 3. Messaging environment migration experience is a plus. 4. Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM best practices. 6. Ability to provide 24 hour on-call production support on a rotational basis. 8. Certifications in a specific field are a plus.
