Role: Java Developer Location: New York, NY Duration: 12+ Months *Detailed Job Description : * This focus of the role is to work · Design and develop on the strategic Compliance platform for the firm · Work independently on assigned activities – no need to be directed at all times · Assist team lead in executing the project plan and meeting due dates · Assist QA team in building test plan and test scripts · Assist team lead and/or own release management of the systems developed · Support systems (L2/L3) in production promptly and in a professional manner *Skills & Experience Required: * · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with total of 3-5 years of experience · Strong 3 to 5 years of core Java and J2EE experience · Experience with common Java design pattern · Strong database skills – SQL server, Oracle · Fully versed with SDLC process including agile methodology · Capital Markets experience is a plus: understanding of Equities and Fixed Income Products · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Strong team player and interpersonal skills · The candidate should have a positive outlook, with the personality to work with the development committee as well as present to business or IT senior managers as required. · Experience using Java to build Rich Interface Websites a huge plus *Skills preferred: * · Experience with Build Automation – Hudson/ AnthillPro/ TeamCity/ Cruise Control – a plus · Experience of Compliance functions a huge plus too. · Scripting (Perl/Shell) is a plus -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oraapps" group.
