Development of plugin components for log collection agent (Logstash), this will include custom integration to messaging bus, encryption and data masking functionality, custom input plugins. Self-service interface for use onboarding and configuration management Vendor product integration Complete technical documentation of all work Required: Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python, Ruby with a strong base in object-oriented and/or functional design and development Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations Knowledge of basic relational and/or non-relational database concepts Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Ability to work independently Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred: Strong Linux skills os configuration, shell scripting Experience operating and developing in JVM-based environments Configuration management and automation tool experience (Puppet or other) Knowledge of Splunk and/or ELK log analytics tools Familiar with Eclipse, Spring, Maven, Bootstrap *Manager notes;* This is a *CORE Java UI* Developer supporting middleware. Experience w *LogStash*-compatible to elastic search-. It uses log analytics to service platforms. Other notes from manager feedback; Configuration manager tool to manage loads, saltstack, puppet, ruby, and most of all Java GUI.
