Job Title : Release Management Lead Location : Hillsboro, OR Duration : 6-12 Months Contract Job Description: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. At least 6 years of experience in Release Management Preferred Excellent facilitation skills and project management skills Excellent understanding of release management processes Excellent understanding of environment management, software configuration management Past oversight of project managers and PMP certification a plus. Past experience implementing software projects into complex production environments. Extensive experience in carrying out following responsibilities: Engages with release approved projects to facilitate the creation of the deployment plans. Creates and maintains environment management plans and cutover build plans, including the setup of meetings to support the creation of those plans. Coordinates aligned refresh and cutover build activities. Schedules and coordinates data refreshes. Drive and document environment management plan for the project releases. Work closely with Data Lead(s) and Development Lead(s), to ensure documentation of the environment requirements. Drive Cutover, including any partnering with Transition Management and Production Support for people change management and ramp-down/ramp-up activities. Ensure test and deployment phase criteria is established and ensure phase Go / No-go is conducted to ensure readiness of the release package. Work with QA Lead(s) on assessing release quality. Prepare and manage cutover status reports. Make recommendations regarding release quality based upon change and release criteria. Work closely with Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Support to formalize operational handoff expectations. Coordinates any facilities for the Go-Live, including Command Center(s) and readiness conference calls. Work with other Release Managers to align release schedules and resolve any overlap, working to support concurrency in the environments. Work closely with Operations, Development, and Change Management to ensure smooth transition and awareness of releases prior to deployment.
