Immediate Jr.Linux Engineer, Need USC, GC and local Consultants. Rate:$40/hr Position : Jr.Linux Engineer Location : Washington DC Duration : 6+Months JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Highly Experienced with MySQL troubleshooting and setup. Security Hardening of Linux Operating systems using selinux/ ufw or Iptables. Apache and PHP and Docker containerization. Primary Responsibilities: Technical working knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g. - CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu) Configuration management with Chef or Puppet Knowledge of a scripting language, e.g. - Python, Perl, Ruby, shell (bash, ksh) Experience in virtual systems provisioning with VMware Analytical and problem solving skills Effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff Project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing small-scale projects from conception through implementation Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or equivalent. Minimum five years of systems engineering or administration experience. Experience with virtualization, including VMWare. Expertise with Linux Servers particularly Redhat or CentOS, freeBSD and Ubuntu. Expertise with Apache, MySQL, Bash Scripting, Security and Monitoring Tools. Expertise with Puppet configuration and maintenance. Ability to collaboratively as part of a team.
