* Rate: $80-85/hr c2c All inclusive * Authorization: GC or US Cit only NO H1s * Job Summary: The contractor must possess excellent troubleshooting and communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment. The contractor must also be able to work flexible hours if required to meet the project schedule and must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The contractor, who will report to the SAP Basis Lead, will be required to work with the Basis team on several initiatives outlined below. Overall implementation Goals: * Extensive experience in Unix administration and OS upgrade skills preferably with AIX experience * Should work independently under high demand SAP environment * Experience with HA and Cluster with SAP environments * Experience and understand SAP storage requirements * Experience with Oracle database and upgrades * Good understanding and experience with database backup procedures and strategy * General Unix scripts and configuration file maintenance on the ECC, BW, EP, SNC, PI and BW on AIX platform * System monitoring tools experience * Maintenance and Basis support for install and refreshing of SAP ECC, BW, SNC and PI systems for enhancements * System landscape Setup and Basis administration * Maintain and monitor ECC, BW, SNC, PI, GRC, CAMS, BW-HANA and Enterprise Portal system performance Deliverables: The deliverables to be produced will include planning, recommendation and execution of the following: * Build and configure AIX Power 8 environments * Migrate existing SAP systems from Power 7 to Power 8 * Upgrade Oracle from 11g to 12c - on ECC/PI/SNC/EP/ISDS/BO * AIX OS upgrade from 6.1 to 7.1 on existing systems and new installs * Build and configure environment for SAP BPC * Support upgrade of SAP GRC from 10.0 to 10.1 * Support upgrade of SAP PI from NW 7.4 to NW 7.5 * Support upgrade of HANA database, OS and GPFS on SAP landscape * Build proof of concept system/environment to migrate ECC to business suite on HANA * Maintenance and Basis support for SAP systems - Weekly progress updates to Basis lead * Provide any recommendations, configuration, coding and setup documents * Coordination of the deployment and stabilization of the SAP systems Background: General Atomics is currently on ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 7/NW 7.4, BW 7.3, BOBJ 4.1 SP6, Enterprise Portal 7.4, SNC 7.12/NW7.4, PI NW 7.4, IS-DS BO4.0/IS 4.1 and GRC 10.0. It has implemented the following SAP modules: MM, SD, FI, CO, PS, HR, Payroll, CATS, PP, QM, DM, and WM modules. Qualifications: Essential Qualifications Typically requires a bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and nine or more years of progressive experience in Basis module or SAP script and operating systems and relational databases. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must demonstrate an extensive understanding of SAP Basis Infrastructure principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Must have excellent organizational skills including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to established completion dates. Must be able to understand new complex concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes. Must be customer focused, involved in long-term trend and emerging requirement analysis, with an in-depth conceptual understanding of enterprise-wide software. Must possess: (1) the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of highly complex technical problems; (2) excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings; (3) excellent interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with others; and (4) excellent computer skills. Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
